Am I The Only One Here Who Thinks The Dem Nominee Has Already Been Decided?
I'm wondering if it pays to vote in the primary. Simple, but serious question.

and the republicans too

I still plan on voting for DK - some think it is a wasted vote but I am not allowing a competitors campaign to tell me this is a done deal yet.

2. If it 'pays'? Don't you feel it's important to vote? Regardless of (whatever you mean by) 'payment'?

6. I feel similar.
It does seem as if there are only three choices and only one of those three is "acceptable." Currently, Dennis is my candidate and you would not believe the looks of incredulity that I get because I do not support HRC whole, or even half, heartedly. Just because I am a woman, it feels to me like other liberal women expect me to vote for her. Like Lucy, she has some 'splainin to do before she earns my vote.

16. Welcome to DU, Constance Craving!
:hi:

I feel the same way you do. I'm a member of NOW and at the local meetings they try to push everyone to sign up for the Clinton campaign. I am very disappointed by their endorsement of her, as I am with other progressive and liberal orgs. NOW has issued several statements condemning the war and our foreign policy and yet they turn around and support the candidate who not only voted to authorize the war, but hasn't once recanted her support for it. It's like her being a woman and pro-choice trumps everything. Sorry, but that doesn't cut it for me.

7. There's a chance that everything for the next 20 years has been decided...
Edited on Fri Nov-02-07 10:10 AM by Al Federfer
I think there's a 50/50 chance that there won't even be an election in 2008. These bastards aren't going to just go away.

Before any votes were cast he was the "presumptive nominee" according to the press.

12. Don't You Dare Not Vote In the Primary
Don't you dare not vote in the primary. It's not over until it's over.
Voting in the primary...if it is not a corrupt election...is the way we choose our candidate. Don't let Russet and Williams do the choosing for you. VOTE and investigate to make sure your vote was counted.

There have been upsets, lost leads, campaign collapses before, The campaign is still ON!

22. It depends if you support the person you feel is the decidee
If you think we can do better with someone less prone to polarizing and less likely to lose the general election, get out there and vote.

The key is "get OUT there"

Reading DU warps your view of the real world; things aren't as inevitable as they would have you believe.
