Hillary proves once again why she is the Goddess of Peace
I was wondering the other night why Hillary didn't strike back and hand Edwards and Russert their asses on a silver platter, considering how well she's always handled herself in creaming other people who have gone after her like rightwing pundits for example. Then I got to thinking, hmm, the lady knows what she's doing. She knew in advance that if she were to fall into Edwards trap and put a whippin on him live on national TV that it could divide our Democratic contingent and that would be a fatal mistake for our party...so she kept the peace instead of blistering one of her own. Loyalty to her party is more important than taking care of business with John Edwards, who is really a threat to no one, politically, well except perhaps to his own party with the way he's laying out personal attacks toward one of his own people. For now, the big picture, which is Democrats taking control of the White House, is far more important to Hillary than petty infighting among fellow Democrats. Damn, she's a cool cucumber, you can't deny that. Very very presidential acting.

When all is said and done and the dust has settled, the Goddess of Peace will have her say about Mr Edwards...Clinton style. "John, I'm sorry, but there is just no room for you in my cabinet. However, if you'd like to apply for the position of White House gardener we might have a part-time opening for you in late April. See ya."

16. Not sure those skates fit. I have no trouble seeing that she's a woman.
Are we talking about the same person?

29. How about that all opposition to her is because she's a woman?
Do you see that? I certainly don't, yet that's what's being either intimated or said flat out by her supporters and by her.

Nice picture of Rudy Garland, by the way.

among other things. It was on the morning news shows then.

10. Doesn't sound like a personal attack.
It sounds like an attack on her professional conduct, and a pretty devastating one at that.

15. The only reason she was cool
is because the woman is cold as ice. It has nothing to do with the importance of electing a dem, because let's face it, if a rethug wins in 2008, it will be because Diebold or others manipulating the system put them there. Edwards and others know the dems are a shoe-in and it is always fair play in a debate, to criticise your opponents. I think that some of the candidates onstage are a bit peeved that everyone assumes she will get it, and who can blame them? The media has her as the winner already, and it's just not fair to be so biased. Really, I think they are trying to make certain that just because she is Bill Clinton's wife/first lady, doesn't mean she gets special consideration. I think that if she had put her finger in the wind, and saw that it was the cool thing to do to attack back, she would have done it. She's so much of a politician, it's really hard to believe anything she says.

17. Maybe... she just flubbed the debate.
Maybe... she's just a plain ole vanilla mortal type human.

Maybe... she's got more class than to hold a grudge against John Edwards and the rest of her primary opponents just because they actually bothered to actually run against her.

I'm just sayin'...

18. Maybe it was a planned flub.
Just sayin'.

I actually appreciate what you are saying and I also appreciate Hillary's response. Keeping the focus on the Republicans is a good strategy - much better than going after your own (unless you are forced to like it appears that John has been).

The front-runner is better off going after the Republicans.

30. Hate to break it to you, but Hillary is no Goddess.
Saying Hillary is a Goddess is almost as mind-numb as comparing oneself to John Kennedy.

And Hillary is no peace-nik either. She actually voted for the IWR. Didn't apologize either. Now she is talking tough about Iran.

Does that sound like peace to you?

The Hillary gaggle is so funny sometimes! Do they actually drink the Kool Aid or do they not even need it?
