LIeberman, I seem to remember that Gore picked Lieberman, because Bill Clinton thought highly of Lieberman, it has crossed my mind several time, with Hillary a former Republican, she might pick him or Clark, wasn't Clark at one time trying to run on the republican ticket, and for some reason the republicans party didn't want him. Any one here know any thing about him trying to run on the Republican ticket

2. Clark never ran as a Republican or considered running as a Republican.
Lieberman will not be the VP pick.

Clark would be an interesting choice.

12. She would never pick Lieberman.
There is just is just no way, he adds nothing to the ticket and represents a huge loss because as you said he is practically a pariah in his own party.

I can vote for Hilary without any problems. Eight years of peace and prosperity sounds fine to me.

But Lieberman - no - no f'n way.

16. Not any more
Markos commissioned a poll to see if CT voters had buyer's remorse and the Indys and some of the Lieber-Dems did. Ned Lamont would win today.

If Hillary picks Lieberman for VP, she'd lose big time.

6. I haven't heard that, but Clark has some strong ties in that realm.
He worked for one of the big surveillance software companies like Seisint or somebody, and demonstrated software to Cheney/Bush. But if you go over Clark's record, he's a good guy...He's shown a lot of integrity on what he believes, and can argue it intelligently. He won't be tied to the Bush agenda because he's smarter than that, period. Though as a general, of course he has right wing connections. I would be frightened of a military general who only knew liberals.

7. Clark was never a possible candidate on a Republican ticket.
For that matter, he was never a Republican. He was always an independent, never registered with any party in his home state (Arkansas) until after he left the military, when he registered as a Democrat. He voted for Clinton twice, then Gore. He was never asked to run as a Republican.

14. Given that Lieberman's about as popular nationally as cancer, I don't think that's likely...
and, outside of certain circles like DU, Clark is all but forgotten.

I don't think either of these are likely. Most likely, because their faces are already out there, Hillary will pick from among the other primary candidates, Reagan did with Bush I, Kerry did with Edwards, etc.

20. Nothing in your post is true
Gore selected Lieberman to distance himself from Clinton (Leiberman trashed Clinton during the Clenis hearings).

Clark is not and has never been a Republican. Republicans in Arkansas attempted to recruit him in 2000 when he got out of the military (according stories he's told) but he turned them down flat. They assumed all former generals were Republicans, they assumed wrong.

26. Gore did NOT pick Lieberman for that reason
i don't know where people come up with some crap.

Gore picked Lieberman because of Lieberman's image as some moral leader and to distant it from the Clinton Lewinsky crap.

this was in 2000 when that was the big issue.

and there is no way she will pick Lieberman.

Clark trying to run on the Republican ticket ? huhhhhh ??
