Biden's statement on Mukasey Nomination: (Without a doubt - NO)
“I am disappointed by Judge Mukasey’s response. He was asked a direct question on the specifics of waterboarding and he refused to unequivocally state that this practice is torture. For this reason, I shall oppose his nomination to be the United States Attorney General

1. like Sheldon Whitehouse said last nite on PBS Newshour
under NO circumstances we should be using TORTURE. So why can * say we do not torture, then say he can't give away techniques? So WTF, we are torturing people, how disgraceful, so where does that leave our soldiers, god forbid if our guys are tortured. I despise *.

5. It's the RIGHT way to vote, and I would seriously give a second look at ANY
Dem who votes to support the nomination. AND Repubs for that matter. There are certain issues that can't be addressed by merely voting the party line. This is a moral issue - a human issue - and ANYONE who doesn't see it that way is lying to him/herself.

The candidates have all said they'll oppose, but I don't know the tide of the rest of the Senate.

7. I'm liking Biden more and more....
He's doing what we all say we want the Dems to be doing-standing up to Bushco and telling it like it is, to use a cliche'.
