Biden-Giuliani Smackdown Enlivens Campaign Trail
<It was a rare case of a candidate who is leading in national opinion polls firing back at a candidate who is trailing far behind. Many campaigns are reluctant to do such a thing, for fear that it would simply serve to elevate the lesser-known candidate. But Mr. Biden may have touched a nerve by questioning the crime-fighting credentials of Mr. Giuliani, a former New York City mayor.>

2. I love it!
And I've used it several times. Chuck Hagel really has a great sense of humor.

4. That's really an interesting and concise article. What I don't get is the
statement that "Rudy rarely reads from prepared speeches" indicating that Biden does. I think I've only seen Biden read a statement once. Even on the Senate floor he's off and running as opposed to staying put behind the podium and reading the text.

I still marvel over Giuliani's spokesperson's response. It was Soooo venom-filled and immature.

6. Attacking Giuliani was a very savvy move.
Democrats like seeing their candidates taking such masterful swipes at the Repubs, but even more importantly, it finally gave Joe some national press coverage, while beginning the cutting process on Rudy Giuliani. Many a candidate has fallen victim to death by a thousand cuts. Joe Biden is a very smart man. Very smart.

7. Biden going after Julie might very well be the move that vaults him into the front of the race.
Smart guy.

8. Others were too busy going after Hillary when Rudy is SO
vulnerable. It was brilliant.
