How can a candidate for President of the United States have the gall, stupidity, or whatever
to say that releasing National Archives records would not be under their control as President?

Hillary lost me with that one. Does she think the American people are stupid?

1. SHE IS NOT DUMB AND STUPID YOU ARE
There is a bill that says that National Archives Records can not be released until so many years after the fact.

Now if she deceided to do that would she be considered a dictator, because she ignored a law.

If you have ever tried to get records from the NARA you would know that personal records can't be released in some cases til 50 years after the
fact.

It is a shame we used to have people with class and character on this journal what happened to them.

9. Yes, because we all know Bill Clinton was so powerful in DC
Why, he was even able to make sure he wasn't impeached... ummm... wait... errr... okay, I'll try this one: he's so powerful he can argue before the USSC... wait.... not true... errr......

27. I think you raise a legitimate point.
She gets up there in front of the country promising to do everything everyone wants, but when it comes to releasing her archives suddenly she becomes (conveniently) powerless. She doesn't even discuss ways that she might be able to get it done, as she will do on any other topic. (Unless it's giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants, then she's for it but against it.)

5. The law is the law. We're still just getting Nixon records!!
The HillHaters have latched on to this falsehood, that a Senator can release Presidential records before the law allows. Utter nonsense.

29. Ha!
"Specifically, the PRA allows for public access to Presidential records through the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) beginning five years after the end of the Administration, but allows the President to invoke as many as six specific restrictions to public access for up to twelve years. The PRA also establishes procedures for Congress, courts, and subsequent Administrations to obtain special access to records that remain closed to the public, following a thirty-day notice period to the former and current Presidents.."

4. George HW Bush's records are still sealed - under law.
This is a phony issue, some people have found something she can't do, and attack her for not doing it. That's just silly.

16. Nothing -
Briefly - It has to do with his announcement that he is no longer supporting Hillary (or thinking about supporting Hillary) because he doesn't think the gay community should get so wound up about an ex-gay singer.

was when she said she was mulling over the 500 dollar baby bond idea.

That pushed him over the edge.

For a day or two.

12. How do you expect anyone to take anything you say seriously?
You have supported almost every candidate at one time or another.

These candidates are human beings, they will say things from time to time that are dumb.

They will also say things, more often, that you disagree with.

You will never find a candidate who reflects YOU, because YOU aren't running.

Acting like you will, and petulantly changing allegiances like light bulbs, is both a narcissistic and puerile way to choose someone for whom to vote.

38. I tried to read through the regs as listed on the Nat Archives
site, I have to tell you, its the most complicated fuckin shit I have ever seen. I would be cautious in assuming you know why the records are not released. Further I suggest that an examination of the release status of other administrations for comparison would be wise.
