I saw a UFO once... really.

Now, I lived very close to a major US Air Force base so there were often planes in the air. So many, in fact, we could recognize the various types. My dad, who served in the Korean war, helped us in that respect. One evening the family was returning from dinner out when we saw a lighted odd shaped craft shoot across the sky, followed closely by two AF fighters.

At the time my father worked for the police department where he headed up the city's communications center. After getting home, he called in to City Hall and was told the object had been tracked across the southeast.

Alien? Who knows. Experimental US aircraft? More likely.

Some years later, coincidently, we'd moved and our neighbor across the street was a crotchety old man retired from that particular Air Force base. Smelling of beer one hot summer evening, he said, "oh yeah, they got them aliens down there... cold storage."

...hmmm...

So I don't doubt Dennis Kucinich saw what he saw. I think it's likely he saw something he wasn't familiar with. I do doubt Shirly McClaine's account.
