Hillary's "tell"...
Has anyone else noticed it? It first struck me a few debates ago, and noticed it again last night.

When aswering a question she has a discomfort with giving a direct answer to she will cast her eyes down to the podium and hold them there for a few moments, often at the start of the answer. This is more than the casual glance one does during a normal answer.

As a poker player I find this fascinating, and very insightful.

1. I actually have noticed that, but I noticed her doing that before almost every question...
I think she's just collecting her thoughts.

12. Next debate watch it with..
the question asked/answer given in mind. I do agree with the collecting of thoughts, but there are times it is much more than that. I especially notice it when giving a declarative sentance - most of the time she will look directly at the host or another candidate when making a strong statement, but there are times she will make a declarative statement with her eyes averted. And when that happens, it's usually in response to a question it appears she wishes to remain "guarded" about.

I love looking at body/facial language during these debates -- I find it can tell me a great deal about the "subtext" of a candidate. I have the most problem with Edward's constantly fluttering eyelids -- it takes me a lot to get past it to hear what he is actually saying.

Really not impressed when bandwidth is wasted for worthless insults.

I'm positive it proves that she is under the control of evil alien overlords and the behavior is due to them beaming the words she should say into the transmitter in her reptilian head.

14. Kent Brockman: "This just in...go to Hell!"
Kent Brockman: Now, over the years, a newsman learns a number of things that for one reason or another, he just cannot report. It doesn't seem to matter now, so...the following people are gay...

______________________________

Kent Brockman (on Smartline): Homer, have we started down a slippery slope to which marriage becomes so meaningless that anyone can marry any-thing?
Homer: Oh, Kent, not anything. It has to exist...or does it?
Rev. Lovejoy: Call me old fashioned, but I believe marriage is described in the Bible!
Homer: If you love the Bible so much, why don't you marry it? In fact, I now pronounce you and the Bible man and wife. And you're the wife! Ah ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. You owe me two hundred bucks.
Lovejoy: Homer, your impulsive marriages are going to lead to a lot of divorces.
Homer: Which will lead to a lot more impulsive marriages, putting more green in the blue, the blue being my pants!

5. Insightful?
Yet you haven't a clue what causes the discomfort. You don't know what answer she would like to give but must be careful about because she MAY have to face that answer in the general election. All you see is the reining in and gearing up to give the answer she's worked out with her team.

If you impute evil intentions, that's in you. You just don't know.

15. Yes, insightful.
Body/facial language can be a very insightful look into a person. Ask any poker player. Ask any big time criminal defense attorney who has hires such a consultant for their defense team.
