Something our candidates (at all levels) can learn from GOP Rep. Tom Tancredo
If you want M$M coverage on the news, "you have to make the news". You have to quit sitting around waiting for the cameras to show up. You have to let them know that news is being made and they will show up. That you are going to give a speech is not news, get creative, use your local hot buttons issues and characters, keep a lawyer on speed dial just in case.

1. And sic ICE on Dick Durbin's presser, after announcing it to the
reporters. They bust up the presser and don't find any illegals. I do hope Durbin is royally pissed at the Tancredo pipsqueak and brings him down a peg or two. Senators are more powerful than house members.

2. But the news is about Tancredo not Durbin or meeting he was holding. (ice didn't bust the presser).

Must have missed the point. Thought it was all tied together. Here's a link; it covers almosti all the story that I know about.

3. that is part of the reason so many are getting so discouraged--they
don't seem to understand how to get their points into the corporate media. They don't understand how they have to rattle the cages. They think they will win these days by simply appearing to be decent, logical and non-confrontational. They need to get a clue from Colbert about how to manufacture their own news.
