Kanye West Words about Bush PERFECT McClurkin Comparison
When Kanye West said he believed Bush didn't care about Black people following Hurricane Katrina...many people agreed, but many also were horrified. Some people still hold that against him, and he hasn't taken it back since. Now, Kanye may not have said as many anti-Bush things as McClurkin has anti-gay, but should West be held from concert fundraisers and awareness concerts (Like Al Gore's thing) or concerts in general because some people may be offended of his political beliefs? HELL NO!! That's why this whole McClurkin outrage is an utter joke...because any sane person knows that Obama doesn't hold nearly the same beliefs.

1. Are you dense?
You think if Giuliani had a concert with Kane on the ticket republicans wouldn't be pissed off?

2. Kanye West criticized a specific asshole who happens to be president, McCloset insults an entire...
people. This goes FAR AND BEYOND "political differences" into bigotry. Your attempt at equating the two is fucking pathetic.

3. Ha!
When a Republican brings him on for a fundraising or other campaign event, let us know so we can actually bother to care about this argument.

Then we'll tell you that you've found a Repuke who is foolishly driving people away, just like Obama is now.

4. The ridiculousness of this bogus comparison aside,
is it really a mere "political belief" that being gay is a "curse" and that straights should be at "war" with homosexuality?

Would you say the KKK is just a group based on "political beliefs"?

6. sorry for the shouting, but it seems nessecary... ANY POLITICAL CAMPAIGN
Edited on Mon Oct-22-07 09:05 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
THAT HAD A FUNDRAISING EVENT WITH KANYE WEST AS THE HEADLINER WOULD RECOGNIZE THAT THE CAMPAIGN WAS INTENTIONALLY ASSOCIATING ITSELF WITH WEST'S STATEMENTS ABOUT BUSH.

And Bush supporters would be correct to draw conclusions about what the campaign thought of them.

"We all remember when, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, hip-hop star Kanye West declared "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Well, two years later, West still isn't backing down from his statement, despite the serious flak he's received for the remarks.

ABC's "Nightline" will air an interview with West this evening and, when ABC's Terry Moran asked Kanye about the incident's aftershock, West says, "I think it changed my life for the better."

"I mean, I have a hard time believing that George Bush cares about anyone," says West. "So, sidebar, black people also. You know?"

13. Wow, you really are utterly desperate.
Kanye West says that one man doesn't care about black people.

Donnie McClurkin says an entire segment of the human population is a "curse" and declares war on them.

You can't see the difference? Are you playing obtuse or is it genuine?
