Biden: "President Bush has been criminally irresponsible in the way he has handled national securit

Biden attacked the administration for creating more terrorists than it has killed by mistreating prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib. He also said the administration has refused to try to remove hundreds of tons of highly enriched uranium in Russia.

From Dodd:

Dodd criticized the administration for taking away basic rights, citing policy that has allowed torture, warrantless wiretapping and deprived terrorism suspects due process in the courts.

1. What does "criminally irresponsible" mean
from a legal perspective?

2.  They should repeat this at every debate and every chance
they get until it penetrates the minds of every American. Thats how the Bushies do it. Just say it over and over again.

7. Joe telling it like it is again. He is so right-on with this statement.
I'm surprised that the other candidates didn't participate in this event. If I were an Iowan, I'd find it insulting -- the people attending this debate weren't important enough to warrant their time and effort. I'd have the same reaction if Joe just blew them off, too. No respect for the "little people" unless the campaign could benefit in a big way. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Does anybody know WHY Clinton, Obama and Edwards declined? Or Richardson?

And then this:

"I'd be happy to vote for Dodd or Biden," he said, before adding, "But they're not the front runners."

For Spande, that means he is instead leaning toward Obama and Clinton, despite the best efforts of the Dodd and Biden campaigns Friday night.

His vote could help MAKE Biden or Dodd become a frontrunner. Why don't people see that? Soooo frustrating.

How many times have we heard that?
I like Biden, but since he is not the frontrunner....

14. Are there any Biden supporters that live in Massachusetts? Or am I the only one?
Sometimes driving around w/ my Biden sticker on my bumper I feel like I'm the only one around here who supports him. But honestly, most of Mass has yet to get into this thing and I haven't seen much of anything on anyone's car. Couple of Ron Paul yards signs but no one here is into it yet. I wonder if people here where I live even know who the hell Joe is! So frustrating sometimes!

17. Exactly!
Like, if Biden could get to 15%, he'd get 30%... One of those deals, imo. I think he's going to do it. The press is BARELY starting to give him some more consideration ie. david yespen today.

We seem to always to reject substance in favour of what looks good on TV. No wonder we get such losers.

They think picking a candidate is just another shopping trip. Image is everything until the shit hits the fan and all the problems start to hit home. Even then people will be looking for John Wayne to save the day!

29. JOE BIDEN - the best America has
In these troubled and dire time we live in, Joe Biden encompasses all that we desperately need for our nation:

1) Intelligence
2) Experience in ALL phases of government
3) Strength
4) Respect from world leaders
5) Diplomacy
6) Command of issues
7) Solutions to problems that face our nation
8) Honesty
9) Integrity
10) Respect and trust from his peers
11) Respect and trust from the people who follow him

Do we not want these qualities in our President?

I pray and hope every day that Mr. & Mrs. America, the people of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina know in their hearts, that if we lose Joe Biden, we will have lost one of the best Presidents our country will ever see.

Please watch a video I produced to show my support for Senator Biden. If you support him, please send the link below to family and friends, and ask them to do the same.

37. Okay, it was an interview with Newsweek
"....impeachment like everything else is a matter of priorities and responsibility. In order to move on impeachment now, we would be put in a position at a very, very delicate time in our nation’s history, of having necessarily to take our eye off the ball on a host of other things that will have longer-lasting impact on the security of this country. As a practical matter, it sucks all the oxygen out of the air. We would effectively be paralyzed for the next six months or longer. … The alternative, and it’s taken me time to think through, I think we should be acquiring and accumulating all the data that is appropriate for possibly bringing criminal charges against members of this administration at a later date."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20186211/site/newsweek/page/0/

Hopefully the next president won't pull a Gerald Ford and "heal the country" by letting bygones be bygones. The people are NOT going to forget nor are they going to forgive.
