For one thing, I agree more with Edwards' stances on the issues than I do any of the other candidates.

But I also have a problem with "dynastic politics".
Consider: if Hillary is elected, that will mean the last 4 POTUS will be Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.

That sounds suspiciously like a monarchy to me, and it makes me VERY uneasy.

All that said, I'll still vote for her in '08 if she is the nominee. I just wish it could be someone else.

1. Please don't compare HRC 2 * ... it's apples and rotten fruit
Bill became prez because he appreciated HRC from way back ... it was a team then and is now. * swaggered past his little brother to coast on his father's residual good will.

Well, I hear ya and I agree. Problem is,
by the time my state's primary rolls around in early June, it really won't matter much. I'm afraid there won't be that much of a choice by that time, anyway. It pisses me off, but what else can you do.

3. Sounds suspiciously like right wing blather to me.
Was the media, was anyone, pushing this concern when shrub was running? No.

Could it be because he is a male and our culture accepts a son building on a family legacy?

Hillary is neither male or a legacy.

Female - wrong - illegitimate - blah, blah, blah.

4. Wow, quick to jump on my opinion, aren't you?
"Right wing blather"?

Huh. Well, I wasn't AROUND on DU in 2000, so I couldn't raise the objection to Shrub by the dynastic politics argument.

Nor did I mention anything about Hillary being female (personally I think Barbara Boxer would make a wonderful Prez, but then she's not running, is she?).

Plus, just because you hear a rightie saying something doesn't mean it's automatically incorrect. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day!

5. I can't say I "like" her in the same way I like Edwards (and Gore).
And yes, I am very much a feminist so it's not sexism. She's just not my first choice, mostly for her too-right-leaning stance on the war, etc.

That said, if she gets the nom she gets my vote. Period.

7. I just don't get the monarchy argument.

Probably because it can't happen in the U.S. With that said I am glad you will vote for her if she is our nominee. I plan on voting for whoever the Dem nominee is.
