Democratic Scenario #1: Hillary wins the nom and the GE. In 2016, our next
presidential candidate should/will be... Who would be our next "star"?

1. I'd guess somebody like Mark Warner.
I don't think as highly of him as some others, but he'd be a natural number two behind Clinton. Very establishment friendly candidate.

I'm sure he's not the only one I should consider, but I do think Barack will be president some day.

Obama might be our next Al Gore... what a sad thing it would be.

22. I don't think that would be sad
even if he's not president, but is able to contribute something to our country in as substantial a way as Gore has, that would truly be a great thing. (The same goes for any of our present candidates.)

It's too early to call 2008 and you want to skip ahead 8 years?

16. It'll be either Martin O'Malley or Deval Patrick.
Obama won't be "the next big thing" anymore.

especially if we have eight years of HRC coming our way or Mitt Romney more likely.

23. If you mean our next manufactured "star"
I think it would be Jeb Bush's turn for 8 more years and than Chelsea Clinton for 8 after that. We need to break the "corporate" chain now. Nothing against Chelsea now, but who knows what 16 years of corporate brain washing can do to her.
