Clark "uneasy" with Kyl-Lieberman. Says U.S. Senate should condemn Rush Limbaugh for statement
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 12:51 AM by calteacherguy
"since we have the Senate condeming people for what they say about politics."

On the Kyl-Lieberman amendment: "I'm uneasy with that. I don't believe in putting more threats out there until we have more dialogue, and we don't have that dialogue."

"Our ground forces are exhausted."

"Bush's concern for the troops is phony. I don't think he really cares about his troops or he wouldn't have opposed the Webb bill."

7. Why? His endorsement is based on the totality of her candidacy,
not on her position on one bill.

8. Will then Clark has lost my support, because the only hope for the Democrats
in my view is any Democratic nominee except Hillary

Her vision is an unending presense in Iraq, and I cannot agree with that

10. She has never said anything that indicates that to me.
She, Obama, and Edwards are all acknowledging that if we intend to maintain an Embassy there, we will have to have enough military presence there to protect the Embassy. And she has pledged not to vote for any further appropriations bills that do not contain a timetable for withdrawal.

12. That's pretty far-fetched
Is he expected to agree on every point with candidates he endorses? Do you or I agree on every single thing with candidates, even those we support? When he is out campaigning for a candidate he's endorsed he presents their point of view and explains their reasoning, but he's a public man with his own ideas and his own air time. He gives speeches and lectures, writes books and articles, is a news commentator and an activist. He isn't all of a sudden speaking with somebody else's mouth or thinking with somebody else's brain just because of an endorsement. I doubt he'd find anyone to endorse at all if they all had to think like he does on every issue.
