Don't cry for me America!
Cry for America! I know that there are those of you who believe that your candidate is the best, and you are voting for that person. I applaud you for this. Be thankful that your candidate is still in the race until you get the chance to vote for him. But, if you are for DK or AS what has just happened to Dean will happen to you next. They are already talking about only allowing Kerry and Edward's in the next debates. The media has been calling for this process to end, one of the reasons is that it is too expensive for them to have to keep covering all of the candidates. When the Primary process ends and the debates end, our Democratic message will not be heard across this land. Bush will have all of the coverage, and he will do it with the tax payers money paying for it, because he will go as the President, not a candidate.

This should have gone on until the Convention. But, the media has spoken and we let them decide when we end it. Even though Dean was in second place, since NH you have heard nothing but that he should quit. You did not hear them saying Edwards, who was in third place, should quit. Why?

Today I am saddened! Tomorrow I will be angry! I will do everything I can to defeat Bush, again....but there is no joy here!

2. You know, I've often wondered...
...what in the world Dean won? A caucus? A straw vote? I mean, I don't remember him winning anything that ever counted...or didn't, for that matter.

3. They bragged about "Campaign Embeds", and about how THIS year...
Their coverage was going to be more complete than any presidential year since 1972. And now, all they want to do is end it, saying it's "just too expensive" to cover them all...kind of shows you who they REALLY want to talk about--and who they really want to win, too!

Personally, I hope that in 2008--or, preferrably, in 2012--we can go back to a "normal-length" primary and caucus season, so that any candidate out there will be both "vetted" by the voters and covered by the media--because they'll have no other choice. This "front-loading is for the birds; it only accomplishes the media whores' wish that we "get it all over with" early, allowing them to suck up to Dub for eight months straight. Yet another reason why it's a GOOD thing for us if the actual contest goes on for another month, or two if that's possible...keep 'em guessing, and so keep "Chip" Rove distinctly off-balance for the first half of the year!

Plus, I want MOST of the voters to have the time to take a good, long look at our potential nominee(s) before something "comes out" about them (a scandal, etc.) when it's too late to do anything about it, and our Party's nomination is rendered all but worthless as a result.
To borrow from both Paul Masson and Andy Card, "We will sell no nominee before his time"!:eyes:

We've got a real shot this year to send Dub back under the rock from which he crawled, but we need to do it right (as best we can with this schedule) and make certain we're sending the best-equipped, best-prepared person out to do the job.

:kick:

B-)
