Hillary made points this week with me.......

I have to say that I haven't been a HRC backer since her campaign started, mainly due to her 'playing it safe' style. But there are two groups I support with donations, VoteVets and MoveOn.org. They have been more bold with messages than any of the others, especially when this country needs it in this time of corporation control on information. So when MoveOn posted their 'General Betrayus' ad, Hillary surprised me by voting against the GOP resolution, showing her political savvy in recognizing "political bait". Meantime, Obama avoided the vote, and Edwards let Elizabeth voice disapproval. I have been an Edwards supporter, but this was a time to be counted, and many fell by the wayside. So, my list is getting shorter.....

1. I'm drifting toward Hillary's camp.

This NYT's ad has really drawn out the chickenshits among our leaders. I was also all for Edwards and just love Elizabeth, BUT! I even heard Randi Rhodes trying to defend this gang of senators for voting against the ad with some nonsense about they didn't want to waste time on a filibuster? What? Just vote NO. How simple is that! It's no harder to vote against this bullshit than to vote for it. I absolutely cannot believe how we're letting these knuckle-draggers have the upper hand AGAIN.

2. On MTP this morning she kept bringing the issue back to the swiftboaters when asked about the ad.

Refused to condemn the ad specifically, instead condemning all attacks on all veterans...brought up Kerry and Max Cleland. She did a great job.

Personally, I'm still of the opinion it should never have been brought to the floor, and all Dems should have refused the participate in the charade (as Obama did), but she did a great job this morning framing the issue in larger terms.

4. I absolutely agree with you

Cornyn should never have been brought to the floor, but once it was, should never have been voted on by Democrats. The No votes were good, but the Not votes were better.

3. I didn't see it, but the Clinton campaign has

definitely impressed me. She's playing smart politics when she redirects the question back to bush & the gop. She's building a great strategy against the gop that will help her if she makes it to the general.

6. I tried hard not to like her

I really wanted a change from Clinton/Bush/Clinton and I was thrilled to have 3 strong candidates. I could be happy with Clinton, Obama or Edwards. I was even thinking of sitting out the primary. Senator Clinton's rising to the top of the heap for me. She just seems to be quick on her feet and always prepared. I tried not to like her because I thought she couldn't win. If the vote were held today my Republican husband would vote for her. A few months ago he said no way.
