Whats with Rudys eyes?

Why have I never noticed that weird eye thing he does when he speaks?
He did it during his entire interview with Larry King last night...
You know...the one where his eyes go all buggy and shocked looking, right in the middle of a normal sentence?
For absolutely NO apparent reason.

Thats just creepy.

5. Carter used to do an eye-widening thing too.

When he made a particularly salient point, Carter would open his eyes a bit wider, giving extra intensity to the statement. It was effective. But this thing Rudy does (which I have also noticed) is bizarre and not at all subtle. He looks like something bit him.
