Reported on CNN. There will be no troops coming home. This war will never end, I am so sad and so disgusted that I am numb. I just feel everything is so hopeless, all the work all the anti war protests everything we try to do means nothing, nothing at all.

3. Does it ever end?
I have been very surprised to learn of the U.S. governments frequent interventions on the behalf of U.S. business interests through the century. The big wars have different explanations depending on who is doing the explaining...until eventually a footnote will suffice. It seems my history lessons need to continue, but go back a little further to understand how empires fail. That I believe is where I will find the future.

4. You're probably correct, sad to say-- Kurdish secession
If nothing else, the threat of Kurdish secession may force us to be stuck there. What an utter fiasco Bush has gotten us mired in.
