OK, I know I can't force you to read anything. But, if I could it would be this book:

Author: George Lakoff

It was published in 2004. It won't take you long to read, only about 120 pages long---ESSENTIAL READING, IMO.

I apologize if you all already knew about this. I'm a little late sometimes. But, IMHO, it is ESSENTIAL that we understand the concepts in this book.

Quit talking/debating using CONSERVATIVE FRAMES....REFRAME THE DEBATE.

That's NOT what he's talking about. He's talking about articulating our VALUES...not about "rebranding" old ideas. He talks about strategic initiatives that help us....

two minutes after you heard him speak, if you own the DVD, have read the book and heard him speak.

And, again, IMO, though you may have read the book, you haven't quite understood what he was saying. He even stated that merely changing the terminology is NOT what he is talking about. He wouldn't, IMO, be for using "membership fees" in place of "taxes." He is for using the word "taxes" but put in a FRAME that helps people understand that TAXES are what people owe society for the benefits that society provides.
