A year or so from now we nominate our ticket in Denver. There is a better-than-even chance, IMO, that this ticket will be the winning ticket in November. I'm not over-confident, but the beast's entrails give off a discernible blue steam.

Bush claims he's the Decider. But you are the Predictor. Here's the game. State the name of the candidate you believe will be our nominee (not your personal favorite). Summon your best instincts as hard-bitten realists.

1. Give the candidate's last name only.
2. Choose only one candidate.
3. No either-or's permitted.
4. Save this thread for later reference.

When the primary season has advanced enough for one candidate to claim a first-ballot victory in Denver, check this thread again to see how everyone fared.

It's fun, it's free, it's legal, in fact it's a gas.

Not my candidate, BTW. But I think anyone predicting Clinton or Obama with certainty is in for a surprise. It's a long road home to the nomination, but I think he'll go the distance.
