To Dems, Rove 'more dangerous' outside West Wing
Updated 12m ago

News Analysis by Jill Lawrence and Judy Keen, USA TODAY
Karl Rove may be leaving his roles as hard-nosed strategist and bookish policy expert in the Bush White House, but that doesn't mean Democrats can rest easy.

"Karl outside the White House is more dangerous to Democrats than Karl inside the White House," said Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who was Al Gore's campaign manager. Her view: He'll have lots more free time now to dream up ways to boost President Bush's standing, "rebrand" the GOP and conquer the 2008 electoral map.

.........

Buchanan says Rove is leaving at a time when the administration "looks like a complete bust." Former GOP chairman Rich Bond said Rove had "a very good beginning and a dismal ending" to his White House career. "The magic ended in 2004," he said.

The Nebraska Democratic Party, MoveOn.org and other Democratic groups have tried to raise money and win elections by demonizing Rove. Operatives who faced him in political campaigns, however, say he is not superhuman or evil — just smart and tough.

Now we can go after him with a vengeance.

But he can still claim executive privilege, evidently.

7. So happy to hear that someone else feels the way I do about Donna Brazile.
I think she's a complete idiot and could never understand how
she got the position she held.

11. Nothing could be more spot-on. donna brazile is a complete waste.
A lot of good she did masterminding Gore's campaign. All this make-nice and rise-above-it shit. He couldn't have gotten worse advice if kkkarl was sending it in, in disguise. In fact, maybe that's what happened. She's a disgrace. An absolute nincompoop. She doesn't have anything to say that I'm interested in listening to.

4. Couldn't agree more. My first comment when I heard the news was, "Oh, shit!"
He's now going to help the GOP's candidate(s) break the laws, steal elections, smear good people and lie, lie, LIE!
