Alex Polier Denies Affair in major publication
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040216/ap_on_el_pr/kerry_polier_statements
"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

So what about the interview she supposed gave ABC? MUST HAVE BEEN BULLSHIT
What about dad calling Kerry a sleaze ball? THAT WAS ALSO BULLSHIT, HE SAID HE APPRECIATED HOW KERRY HANDLED IT, AND HE AND HIS WIFE WOULD BE VOTING FOR KERRY

Not much else needs to be said.

running mate?

6. This was mentioned briefly on NBC news tonite.
They called it an "Internet rumor" and devoted about three sentences and one minute to it. They mentioned that the young lady had made a public statement denying the stories. That was about all.

We should devote about one more minute to it, too.

9. The story didn't seem to be catching fire anyway.
Drudge was trying to fashion another Lewinsky scandal, so he just ran with whatever he heard: "Somebody told me that somebody told him that somebody told him that Kerry was banging an intern."

I think the lying fuck ought to publicly apologize. Or perhaps he should just crawl back under the rock of obscurity (where he obviously belongs).

10. It was on
CNN. Anderson Cooper read the woman's statement then did a segment on lies in the media. He used the fake photo of Kerry with Jane Fonda as an example. I'm glad CNN spent some time on both.

12. This is AWESOME, AWESOME!
I gotta tell you, I didn't think Drudge or the right-wing was STUPID enough to peddle such a piece of garbage libel/weblewourwadearly/lying kind of way.

FORGIVE ME! I have been shocked to learn that it was possible for conservatives to sink ANY lower into the gutter/filfth/sicking relm.

I am stupid.

Please! Forgive me!

15. on the bright side
If we see a byline of "Alex Polier," we'll notice, and so maybe this will help her journalism career.
