"I would hope Congress would become more prone to deliver pieces of legislation that matter as opposed to being the investigative body." George Bush
http://www.denverpost.com/movies/ci_6581715I suggest we make a deal with Bush. Bush answers our questions in an acceptable fashion and Congress will stop investigating. Even Steven. Quid pro quo. We get answers. Congress can pass legislation.
Here are some questions I would like answered. I realize that answering them would involve some research and investigation. But what are we paying our government employees for if not to solve these mysteries. Answering these questions is vital to our national security in my opinion.
1) Who sent the anthrax to Leahy, Daschle and others?
2) Who forged the Niger memo that stated that Iraq had sought to buy uranium from Niger?
3) Where did the arms and money lost in Iraq end up? Has anyone lost their job over that? Was embezzlement or theft involved? How can the government be sure? What is the evidence on this?
4) Who wrote our energy laws?
5) What is the true state of our economy?
6) What effect have NAFTA and other trade agreements had on the job market in the US in terms of quality of jobs, pay for specific types of work, etc.?
There are many, many more questions. Maybe we should make a list, sign it and present it to the White House.
