Maybe it's because Edwards has some really good advocates here...
But it seems to me that the former Senator is releasing policy statements every friggin' hour...

I can't remember the last time a candidate has released his complete agenda before a vote was even cast...

To many it's smells a little funny, but to me it seems refreshing...

Still haven't made up my mind but his flurry of activism and his willingness to take strong progressive stands have been impressive...

Now if only he would get another expensive haircut, we could get back to campaigning like the media wants us to...

2. Boy, not me. I resent all these policy statements by John Edwards. They're
Edited on Thu Aug-09-07 08:18 AM by Old Crusoe
detailed, for one thing. How does he expect me and other Americans to absorb details of a policy?

As well, they're clearly aimed at the betterment of all citizens. We're not used to that. Under Bush, the policy has been tax cuts for the filthy rich and to hell with everybody else, and as you can see, it works just fine. Why change it with all this We the People compassion?

Another thing that infuriates me about John Edwards is that he talks directly about these policies of his, as if he wanted to enjoin me and other Americans in a pluralistic society. We just can't have that. We need to reinforce the barriers that have divided us for so long and continue to endorse policies which guarantee economic disadvantage for a majority of our populace.

That's how it works now and I don't like Edwards shoving his damn expertise in my face trying to change it!

Also I've about had enough of his wife. How come she just doesn't go on back home and help with the cookin'?

Damn liberals.

4. I think he is to be commended!
It is refreshing to see a candidate who is so willing to state just where he is in regards to policies...

Too many of them just dodge those questions...

And all we get is fluff...

But not from Edwards...

I am watching him...

Since I haven't made up my mind either...

5. People deserve to know what you intend to do if you are elected

It is a shame that certain candidates are taking as few positions as possible and as general positions as possible.

6. I wish they would ALL do it.
I'd like the entire Party to know what they're getting this time BEFORE a vote is cast for nomination.

I think Edwards is wise to do this. Makes his campaign seem more open.
