Bowen decertifies ALL electronic voting machines in CA!
Edited on Sat Aug-04-07 02:46 AM by Liberty Belle
Details just in at www.bradblog.com

I love this quote:
reject suggestion that I should not make changes to voting systems simply because of cost...When NASA finds a problem, they don't continue just because they've already spent the money. They scrub the mission and spend the money to get it right. We must do same with elections.
:toast:

(note: I've edited this post to reflect Brad's update, just posted)

20. watch out for the upcoming ballot initiative to steal
the Blue Tidal Wave.

Unfortunately, I think that most Democrats, and especially the Greens will go for the initiative because it sounds so FAIR. I mean really, one person, one vote sounds great, but it will take at least 20 of the electoral votes right off the top. Most races are within just a few votes and this will keep the pukes in the WH for at least the next 4 years, and maybe for the rest of my lifetime.

This ballot initiative is to be set up for the primary race to take effect in November. If anyone can think of the right words to stop this oncoming freight train, please speak them! We need a slogan or meme to repeat over and over.

Okay, my rant, my fear

5. Give this a recommendation so everyone will see, please!
Paper ballots are worthless if counted on the electronic scanners, which are easily rigged, too.

That's why Bowen ordered hand counting - thank goodness!

8. Great News. Thanks for this update
As a California voter, I had wondered how Bowen's review of the electronic voting machines had turned out. This is excellent news. At least we've removed one potential source of voter fraud here in California.

22. Agreed. They can be used for the handicapped.
But ONLY if five handicapped people vote on them. To preserve anonymity. That doesn't look like a lot of anticipated use to me.

She slaughtered them. What will be interesting is to see if they even attempt to achieve recertification. Because I don't see where they've met those requirements. Do you?

and convince other states to decertify all machines that are questionnable.
