As long as Kerry keeps winning the majority of delegates, this thing will be decided on the first ballot at the convention.

3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he gets Clark's delegates too, right?
I believe I read an article after Gephart dropped out that stated how his remaining money could be used, and also that his delegates would go to the person he endorses. So, Dean got Gepharts from IA (if there were any?) and that means that Kerry gets Clarks.

Am I over-simplifying this equation? If anyone can give me a lesson in Politics 101, I'd appreciate it!

4. Gephardt has endorsed Kerry
but I think delegates can be pledged or not.

5. No, he does not
The superdelegates who endorsed Clark can support Kerry or whomever they wish. The pledged delegates (those elected through primaries and caucuses) are required to vote for Clark on the first ballot at the convention. After the first ballot, they can support the candidate of their choice.
