Dennis Kucinich Opens New Action Center Website
This was originally posted as a diary at Daily Kos. Here's the link for the original: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/7/22/181410/320

Begin Diary:

The Kucinich 2008 Action Center http://action.dennis4president.com/ is a place for you to go and help connect and organize in your area of the country, and you can also network to help Dennis in his bid for the White House.

Now, we know that Dennis is not the candidate of choice here at DailyKos (yet), but we also know that he holds unquestionable progressive bona fides. As such, those of us who support Dennis need to get the word out on this great candidate. The Kucinich 2008 Action Center is one way to help in doing so. Not only are you able to connect with other supporters of Dennis, you are able to blog for the campaign. You are able to set up local group support pages. This is in addition to Dennis' very good campaign site, Kucinich 2008! http://kucinich.us

Earlier today, there was a very good diary which links to a presidential candidate preference quiz. The diary, Choose your Candidate (Neat Web Quiz Thing) http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/7/22/11444/9839 had some very interesting results from the quiz http://www.dehp.net/candidate/, which lets you rate how you feel about various issues, and then lets you rate each issue as how important it is to you. First, here are my results:

Kucinich 72
No Child Left Behind, Torture, Border Fence

Gravel 58
Torture

Obama 47
Patriot Act, Border Fence, Iran Sanctions, Same-Sex Marriage

Clinton 28
Death Penalty, No Child Left Behind, Patriot Act, Torture, Border Fence, Iran Sanctions, Iran - Military Action, Same-Sex Marriage

Edwards 27
Death Penalty, No Child Left Behind, Patriot Act, Torture, Iran Sanctions, Iran - Military Action, Same-Sex Marriage

Biden 24
Death Penalty, No Child Left Behind, Patriot Act, Torture, Border Fence, Iran Sanctions, Same-Sex Marriage

Dodd 23
Death Penalty, No Child Left Behind, Patriot Act, Torture, Border Fence, Iran Sanctions, Iran - Military Action

Richardson 20
Death Penalty, Assault Weapons Ban, Patriot Act, Torture, Iran Sanctions, Iran - Military Action, Same-Sex Marriage

Paul 18
Abortion Rights, Embryonic Stem Cells, ANWR Drilling, Kyoto, Assault Weapons Ban, Guns - Background Checks, Torture, Citizenship Path for Illegals, Border Fence, Net Neutrality, Minimum Wage Increase, Same-Sex Marriage, Universal Healthcare

Cox -22
Thompson -28
Brownback -29
Giuliani -33
McCain -34
Huckabee -54
Tancredo -57
Romney -63
Hunter -71

Since I support Dennis, I'm not surprised! ;)

Further down, in the comments, is another candidate preference quiz which is similar. This one is from Select Smart http://www.selectsmart.com/president/2008.html.

While the comment section is small (31), you may see an interesting result: Dennis is the top candidate in almost all of the results which are listed! I'm sure that not only Kucinich supporters commented, but even I was surprised (to a point) about the comments. I wasn't surprised in that Dennis is the progressive's progressive in the race, and I've seen many comments saying that Dennis is in the top choices, but generally not the top choice. This is why the Action Center is important. For supporters, it's our chance to link with those who also support Dennis. For those who admire Dennis, but haven't signed on as a supporter yet, it's a good place to find out even more about this great candidate.

I urge those of you who support Dennis, or who are interested in perhaps supporting Dennis to check out (and join) the Kucinich 2008 Action Center http://action.dennis4president.com/, as well as the campaign site Kucinich 2008 http://kucinich.us/!

Go Dennis!

I joined up ~ think I'll check out some of the other candidates' blogs too (if they have them). Not surprisingly, there are some interesting profiles at DK's site!

7. After looking at this more, I think it's a very cool site...
Do the other candidates have sites where you can have your own page, etc?

9. It's like myspace for adults
Kucinichspace- a place for progressives to discuss the issues and how to overcome the corporate control of our elections.
