Would any other President NOT use this as a chance to promote healthcare?

This has bugged me since the first time Bush went under (a few years ago-can't remember the date) and Dick was "temporarily" ;-) in charge.

I can not for the life of me fathom that Bush would not take this chance to do a PSA or something to alert men of a certain age that they NEED TO HAVE THIS DONE. Or that they at least need to get a physical done.

I am aware that a lot of guys avoid this like the plague. When I turned 40 I went and had a complete physical done and (per my Dr.) will every other year unless something comes up. I didn't like it-especially THAT- but I know that I have to do it.

I just can't imagine that a LEADER would not use this as a "look I did it" opportunity to help spread the word.

Is he/they THAT beholden to insurance companies that they don't do this because it might cost them more money?
Are they really that infantile and still in 8th grade gym class mentality?

I guess they really are that into the "everything is politics", as we have seen with every department of our government, that they can't risk W's "manly image" :eyes: being corrupted.

I don't know but it is simply amazing to me.

It honestly doesn't occur to him to do the PSA because he is so completely out of touch with the concept of 'no money'. Even though his grand HSA plan encourages people NOT to have these kinds of tests, he doesn't connect that to himself because HE doesn't even look at bills, he just does whatever the doctor says with no consideration of cost. It's the classic disconnect of the wealthy.
