GOP comes through for Free Republic again!!!
Looks like the Republicans -- probably via the RNC -- have again donated enough money to keep the hateful liars at Free Republic going.

Several times before, I have posted my theory that it is the GOP, not rank and file Freepers, that is the major financial backer of Free Republic. That theory is again proving true today.

This morning -- nearly three weeks into their current fund-raising raising drive -- Free Republic had only reached 36% of its overall goal. Pretty lame.

But then -- sometime within the last several hours -- that amount has suddenly shot up to 75% of the overall goal. In three weeks, the Freeps could only raise 36% of what they needed. But in one half of one day, they raised an additional 40%!!!!!

Imagine a fund drive achieving 40% of it goal in a single day! Something's up.

This large, sudden, and mysterious infusion of cash is obviously not coming from rank and file Freepers. They already had three weeks to donate and all they could raise was 36%. Besides, even if it WAs Freepers donating, they would not have all chosen to do so TODAY. That is waaaay beyond coincidence; it is evidence.

So where is this sudden, very substantial sum of money coming from? I say it is coming from the same place it came from during the last six - eight FR fund-raising drives, when EXACTLY the same thing has happened. It came from the deep-pockets of the people who want to keep those foam-at-the-mouth trogdolyte Freepers hanging around to do their dirty work.

It came from the RNC.

6. How funny--further proof that the Right are a minority of creeps, kept alive by heavy subsidies.
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 05:42 AM by Perry Logan
The whole right-wing thing is a fraud.

Their theories are crackpot.

Their science is cooked.

Their news stories are made up.

Their "grass-roots" movements are fake.

Their radio shows are rigged.

Their "best sellers" are purchased in bulk and never read.

Their districts are gerrymandered.

Their elected officials are not elected.

Their policies are treason.

Conservatism in the U.S. is, and has always been, a small group of white guys faking it.

18. Speaking of which, what ever happened to Chad Castagana?
He's the freeper that was busted for mailing white powder to a bunch of Dems last year.

He was a basement dweller at his Mom's house, and a vocal contributor to RimJob's site.

8. Reminds me of a story about a local right wing AM radio show
The Jerry Waters show, a local Charleston WV AM radio Rush Limbaugh wannabe, was put out of its misery in March this year. Jerry had been stinking up the airwaves from 10 AM to noon every weekday with his right wing broadcasts. The Republican founder of the parent broadcasting company had been carrying the show for years at a loss, making up for the red ink with revenues from profitable FM broadcasts. When he died in December his daughter inherited his estate and shut the show down.

It's hard to believe this was the only arrangement of its kind. Something to think about when those opposed to the Fairness Doctrine argue that programming should be left to the private sector.

17. Republicans are generally really cheap and don't donate money without a payback for themselves.
That's why they're so against any kind of social programs and paying taxes. They can't stand that some of their money may be going to help someone else and not directly benefiting them. They hate to give to charities unless they can get something in return (public acknowledgement, gift), and of course they expect a big payback in the form of a lucrative government contract when they give to a political campaign.

If I do fundraising for a charity, it's generally the Democrats who donate to the cause and Republicans who don't. Has anyone else noticed this? (And it can't just be that only Democrats are affected by cancer, diabetes or heart disease).
