Sen. Mike Gravel Has "No Problem" with new 9/11 investigations
On July 7, Gravel's Press Secretary, Alex Colvin, posted this statement in a thread discussing September the 11th, on the Senator's campaign website forum;

Last month, on June 6th, member of
Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth, Eric Jackman, asked former Senator Gravel;

"It's been reported that you will support a new global investigation into the events of September 11th, do you care to elaborate on that?"

Gravel responded: "Well, as much I know... I've had several people approach me on that, and I said, I have no problem, because every time we had an investigation of the Kennedy assassination, we learned more, and we've had several of those investigations, and we kept learning more, and learning more. So I don't think that there's any harm, in having additional investigations as to what really happened on 9/11."

This is an extremely strong and positive public statement from a political candidate with a dedicated base, and very candid views on the Military Industrial Complex;

"The Military-Industrial-Complex not only controls our government, lock, stock and barrel, but they control our culture."

Senator Gravel and his campaign, have now set a benchmark for the other Presidential candidates. The Kucinich campaign should take note that there is now another candidate on the record about new 9/11 investigations. Although Gravel doesn't have Committee powers like Kucinich does, Kucinich should be encouraged that making public statements on new 9/11 investigations is welcome, and wanted, and he should consider broadening his investigations.

If you make a contribution to Gravel because of these statements, let him know why.

1. Wouldn't Gravel be more useful taking Ted Stevens out?
I know he's been there before but Congress seems a better fit for him than a Presidential race. Most Americans don't really know who he is anymore and he's certainly more likely to succeed in his home state where they do.

3. I agree...he's getting good visability and name recognition now,
but I hope it puts that to better use, taking on Stevens. Not only would we have a good shot of putting another "D" in the Senate, but he's obviously a voice that's willing to say what he thinks.

5. Gravel hasn't lived in Alaska in over 20 years....

And besides there are 4 extremely strong Democrats that will be running for either Congressman's Don Young's seat or Senator Stevens seat.

Current Anchorage mayor Mark Begich, former state senator Ethan Berkowitz, former state senator Eric Croft, and Young's last opponent, Diane Benson..

The problem here is there's only two seats open and 4 realllllly good candidates!!

our candidates up here on our side. the other side? Ick. There's an article in the Anchorage Daily News on Ted and Don's unease: www.adn.com

7. Me too, Rogue
When have we been so lucky to have so many good candidates? I think Ted and Don should be feeling real, real shaky about now -- especially Don. I thought this quote -- "People don't understand; if you don't establish yourself as the biggest dog in the yard, you're going to be chased out. No one has been able to do that to me" -- is very revealing of his entitlement mindset. I think he needs a wake-up call.

4. K*R No surprises here. K*R

Gravel just wants the truth. He's too old to care about the consequences but wise enough to know
that we can't function without the truth.

Great stuff...

11. And apparently neither does Dennis Kucinich

Congressman Dennis Kucinich has just announced that he will begin holding new hearings into 9/11 beginning in September because "the Commission Final Report... never resolved certain conflicts." The acclaimed film 9/11 Press For Truth details those conflicts like no other movie has, featuring five members of the 9/11 Family Steering Committee (the small group of victim's relatives who forced the creation of the 9/11 Commission), who revealed for the first time in the movie that "70% of our questions" were not answered by the Final Report.

In response to Kucinich's announcement, the makers of 9/11 Press For Truth are launching of a new campaign to bring about real answers for the September 11th families -- and a brand new web site at 911PressForTruth.com.

From August 3rd - 12th, a coalition of organizations will join forces to host "Answers For 9/11 Families" week. Hundreds of Americans will come together at house parties across the country to screen 9/11 Press For Truth, telling the powerful story of the September 11th families' continuing fight for answers.

Now, Please join the effort to encourage Congress to support Kucinich's investigation until all remaining Family Steering Committee questions are answered. Send a "Press For Truth Pack" to your Congressman and sign up today to host or attend a 9/11 Press For Truth house party in your community.

12. Make sure it's an independent investigation.

In the past, it seemed only the old whores get appointed.

The old whores, they have new dresses
golden hair, flowing tresses
but down inside, they're all the same
hard as nails, corrupt and vain
