I got a call a few days ago from the DCCC...
Trying to get money for the 2008 cycle...

The conversation progressed as follows...

After his pitch about 2008...

I very politely asked the man..."Exactly what has the DCCC done to earn my support...?"

He replied: "Well, we took back Congress in 2006!"

I said: "Good point...put me down for $100..."

He said: "Thank You"

1. I wouldn't have given them once cent unless they came to my house, kissed my ass... and ...
...told me how important I was. :sarcasm:

2. When my call comes
And I know it will, I too will pledge a certain amount of money. I will also make sure that I impress upon the caller that the American people had one chance in November 2006 to express their feelings about the state of the nation. For what it's worth, please take back to the people who are paying you to make these calls this unmistakable message: We the people do not have infinite patience. The one opportunity we had to change things in Washington, we did so without regard to the prevailing punditry, the conventional wisdom or even Karl Rove's numbers. Quit listening to the network, cable and other big media dingbats who were so wrong, and pay attention to what the people practically shouted in your face in November. Because if you miss such a clear call, you'll join the likes of Tom DeLay, J.D. Hayworth, Bob Ney and scores of others as former elected representatives.

We didn't change the ruling party in both houses of Congress to take procedural and symbolic votes. We voted you in to change things.

3. No impeachment...no money
When the democrats took impeachment off the table they in effect said to Bush, "Do anything you want and we won't do anything about it."
The current slate of democrats in Congress do not deserve our support.

5. Funny they couldn't answer that...since the DCCC is there to elect Congressmen...
Not Senators...

So the answer is no...the DCCC would not have given any money to Joe Lieberman

Oh and btw, a quick google would tell you that the DSCC supported Lamont...

So open up your checkbook the next time they call!!

7. Schumer and the DSCC supported Lamont AFTER he mopped Lieberman up in the primary.
And only RELUCTANTLY then.

:puke:

Schumer was DISGUSTING in his support of Lieberman throughout.
(And I LIKE Schumer.)

8. The question was...
Did the DSCC give money to Ned Lamont as the Democratic Nominee...the answer is yes they did...

Did the DSCC give money to Joe Lieberman after he was defeated for the Democratic nomination...the answer is no they did not...

In either case, the DCCC would not have given money to a Senate candidate

6. "Oh, did YOU come up with the triumphant 50 STATE STRATEGY?"
"No?"

Did you have STOOGES like James Carville and Rahm Emanuel
SPEW crap about REPLACING Howard Dean with Harold Ford
immediately after the mid-terms, even though that would
HAVE TO BE DONE BY A VOTE OF THE STATE CHAIRS?

"Yes."

"Then DON'T put me down for SQUAT".

He said: "Waaaaaaaaa! You READ!"

9. they got a polite earful from me about how upset some folks in the
party are, and that they need to pay attention to that.

The woman told me that she has been getting many angry comments. She said that they are paying attention.

And the I pledged $ for the triple match.
