Meanwhile Olbermann, on successive nights, entertained two Generals ..... well, three ........
... if you count his conversation with Wesley Clark (glad you're now on MSNBC, General). Maybe even four, if you count the general mentioned in the pieces.

But what I'm talking about are the two remarkable interviews he did with Generals Taguba and Karpinski. Karpinski said, not without some sardonic snark, that the only difference between her and Taguba was that he waited until now to tell the same story she told a good while ago.

Both mention Gitmo Geoff Miller, the other two-star in this deal. He's the one who was hell-bent to "Gitmoize" Abu Ghraib. Was he acting alone? Neither Taguba nor Karpinski think so. Karpinsi named names. Names like Rumsfeld. Cambone. Feith. Actually, she didn't so much mention the names as she did spit them out.

Both aver that the lower level military people charged (and now imprisoned) were scapegoats. Yeah, they did what they did. But it isn't as if they were free agents thinking up nefarious shit. The dog collars didn't get packed in Lyndie England's gear back in West Virginia. Somebody gave them to her to use. I wonder if Gitmo Geoff's gear was checked at the border when he entered Iraq.

If Rumsfeld knew about the goings on at Gitmo and Abu, how far a stretch to think that Dickie Darth knew? Or even the Gin Blossom (and his fat pet freak, the Turd Blossom)? Was all this checked out with quaint little Mr. Fixit, Gonzo?

Hello. ::::tap tap tap:::: Is this thing on? Can anyone with the chairmanship of a congressional committee hear me? Can anyone with subpoena power hear me?

We have the EVIDENCE, in living color pictures. We have witnesses, in the form of GENERALS. People with actual stars on their actual shoulders. All we need is a court room or a hearing room.

WHAT IS THE HOLDUP?

6. Amazing, isn' it. They KNOW as well as *we* know what's going on ......
.... and yet they avoid asking the obvious questions of the obvious people.

The VERY simple fact is ......... war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed. Not by some low IQ private (Lyndie England) and some psychopathic sargeant (Graner). By high level AMERICAN military officers, top level AMERICAN political appointees, and the holders of the HIGHEST AMERICAN offices in the country.

The Congress knows this. The American people know this.

Everyone's just whistling past the fucking graveyard.

When do they cross the line into complicity? When are they accomplices instead of timid dumbshits?

11. Well then you've seen my greatest fear then.
How can one begin to define the solution when you can't even make this crucial distinction? I can't do it! What a mind-fuck, eh? Small fucking wonder I feel so powerless, but still this little voice says "they've crossed it, mother fuckers, they crossed it."

Answers? You don' need no steenkin ANSWERS. That's the game the whole mother fucking lot of those crainiorectal inversion cases are playing right now. Whistling past the grave yard? Why be generous? They booked Pucinni on parade to cross that street!

The thing I'm trying to get a handle on is: What will finally wake these guys up and how can I make whatever that is happen.
