Making Romney a lightning rod on Iraq
Edited on Thu Jun-07-07 11:38 PM by gulliver
Paul Begala has a great post over on HuffPo. He points out that in the last debate, Romney tried to sell the idea that Saddam Hussein would not allow weapons inspectors into Iraq. The media did not call him on it. That's serious stuff.

I nominate this as an attack point for the left wing blogosphere. Force Romney to take back what he said. It is patently untrue. It concerns a matter of war. Romney lied. He must correct his error.

By forcing Romney to do that, the whole GOP "Hussein didn't let in the inspectors" lie might go down in flames, and the rest of the GOP debaters won't have that lie to hide behind. Bush is the one who forced the inspectors to leave Iraq, not Saddam. The GOP can't be allowed to defend their disaster based on a lie.

1. The whole world knows W lied
and the elitist Romney escaped service in Vietnam by being a Mormon missionary to France.
