Tweety and the Beer Test...
He's claiming that Reagan had personality along with HW and W. I always thought Ronnie was a sleazebag and the other two I don't bother to talk about anymore. He wasn't even bood looking with his greasy hair and he couldn't talk decently without a script. Bleah....

1. I always thought Reagan was goofy and corny....
I never did think he was witty. HW and W are just plain creepy and weird.

2. I'd have to say . . .
compared to Bushs 1 and 2, Ronnie did have MORE of a personality. And he could at least READ coherently from a script, unlike Bush 2. And he sorta looked like my dad, so I can't comment on his looks. :)

3. Reagan ACTED like he had more personality.

Beware Fred Thompson. Why can't we get an actor on our side, as a candidate?

5. I know... can you imagine Clooney v. Thompson...
or, if we're going to keep it real, how about Ted Danson v. Fred Thompson. Sam Malone v. that mean boss from "Roseanne."

6. How about Sam Waterston vs. Fred Thompson?
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 07:15 PM by DemBones DemBones

Sam doesn't have any political experience, AFAIK, but he is doing the Unity '08 campaign, which is an interesting concept.

And the idea of Jack McCoy running against Arthur Branch would draw out all the L & O fans, and we are legion!

7. I can't see Fred as a folksy smarmy type.
He's pretty cold-blooded on L&O.

8. He shows plenty of folksiness on L & O, IMO, and tha DA always

has to be a bit cold-blooded because he has to be re-elected.

Thompson did a very clever commercial replying to Michael Moore. Don't underestimate him. He would play very well in much of the country.

4. Reagan was the daddy all the repukes long for. The Bushes are crazy uncles.
The daddy party needs authority even if it found in stupid leaders. Having a beer with those three is like having a beer at a family reunion with relatives you wouldn't spend time with unless it was a reunion.
