5. i like edwards but, Obama has the most experience of the top 3.
8 years in state and almost 3 in US senate. Edwards had 6.
hillary has 6.
this means Obama has far more experience in government.

8. There is 'state' government and THEN there is 'Federal' government.
In 'state' government you are just cutting your teeth. In 'Federal' government you are ripping flesh off the bone with your teeth.

10. Are you impressed by Edwards' record in the Senate.
Which was the greater achievement? The Patriot Act or the IWR?

12. Yea, there's also the Presidency and then there's everything else
This whole experience debate is pointless because no job can really prepare you for being President except being President.

13. I've always wondered
if one of those two is doing well in the primaries and drops out, will their supporters go to the other guy or to Hillary. I think they will go to the other guy, but I have no evidence to back that theory.

16. I think Obama and Edwards rock
My first choice is Obama but Edwards kicks but too. Obama/Edwards or Edwards/Obama would make me very happy.... a Gore/Obama ticket gives me a tingling feeling inside.... for the record I will not vote for Hillary at all...the bush, clinton, bush, clinton royal families thing scares me, among other things.

17. I would be happy with either Edwards or Obama, but first one of them has to get elected...
My opinion is that Edwards has the edge in getting elected in that he has had years of experience successfully litigating against corporate/Republican pit bulls. He has to be aware of their dirty tricks and how to counter them or he wouldn't have been a successful attorney. There is also the problem of election stealing tactics that Gore and Kerry experienced, which Edwards seems at least to be aware of (I don't know Obama's views on this).

In any event, either would make a good president. The issue is who would best be able to beat the Republican candidate. No Democrat would be a shoo-in even given the pitiful group of candidates on the other side, since they will stoop to any low level to win. At any rate, Clinton would be a lightning rod of contention and divisiveness, and it would be depressing if she somehow became the nominee.

I think an Edwards/Obama 2008 ticket would be viable.
