Oliver North and Ronald Reagan killed our GI's.
Edited on Sat May-26-07 03:59 PM by styersc
In 1986, North facilitated Ronald Reagan's illegal sale of TOW Anti-tank missles to the government of Iran to secure the release of hostages held in Lebanon. TOW missiles were the first shaped-charge munitions in the Iranian arsenal, as a matter of fact they have now copied the technology and produce their own version for their military and for export to allies. Bush now claims that shape-charge munitions are being smuggled from Iran to insurgents in Iraq and that these are the bombs that have resulted in the tremendous increase in successful attacks that kill our men and women. President Ronald Reagan and Lt. Col. Oliver North have done more to help our enemies kill our soldiers then any other individual or group.

1. That's quite a leap
shape-charges are nothing new, and they certainly aren't exclusive to the TOW missile

2. The Reagan Administration's efforts modernized the
meager Iranian military which was embroiled in conflict with Iraq (who the Reagan administration was openly supporting- even raising the US flag over Saddam's fleet of oil tankers). Congress had illegalized military support for Iran after the over throw of the Shah and hostage crisis. Reagan with North's help broke this law and strengthened the military that is now using that technology to kill our loved ones.

In the 1980's the Reagan administration never saw an anti-communist dicatator that they didn't support or a dangerous regime that they would not deal with. They broke laws the results of which we are feeling now.

3. 'pukes readily do what is necessary to implement their agenda, damn the law. Dems are so scared
of being labeled soft on something the 'pukes say is bad, they often crap their pants while frantically doing what is necessary not to get labeled soft so they get steamrolled over and over again.
