Reframing in U.S. Attorney firings
Edited on Thu May-10-07 12:16 PM by LiberalEsto
Gonzales keeps saying that at least some of the U.S. Attorneys were fired because of concerns about "voter fraud" in their election districts.

This voter fraud is not the same kind of voter fraud that comes to mind when we think about the theft of the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.

Paul Kiel,TPM Muckraker, May 1: "Although trumpeted as cases of voter fraud, the cases alleged only registration fraud, and there's no evidence that those registrations were intended to result in actual fraudulent votes."

Should we re-phrase the Gonzales inJustice Department's terminology as GOP vote blocking, GOP vote purging, or perhaps GOP voter obstruction efforts?

Your reframing ideas welcome.
