I'll still be delighted if my current personal fave, Obama, gets the nod and becomes President. I'll also be happy if Hillary or any of our Democrats become President, but IMO, Dennis Kucinich right now is the only one who doesn't sell his soul to ANYONE.

He is the most consistent of all the candidates, the most straightforward, and the gutsiest, IMO.

The three things I care about the most are the environment, getting out of Iraq, and impeachment. Dennis is unequivocally the most straightforward of all the candidates when it comes to getting out of Iraq. He'd end the war tomorrow if he could, and he is one of the ONLY ones who would not fund a penny for that war no matter how he would be perceived for doing so.

His environmental record is outstanding.

Last but not least, he is the ONLY one of the candidates who is passionate and serious about impeaching the criminals in the WH.

So, as far as the Primaries, how the heck could I not strongly consider him? He stands for the things I really care about, and he has nothing to apologize for. Unlike some of the others who waffle for political purposes, Dennis Kucinich is Mr Konsistency.

1. It's not three times I, it's six times M
Money, more money and much more money. Compare the coverage that Obama's fund raising received to the amount of coverage that Kucinich's bill to impeach Cheney received. Six times M beats three times I.

2. Kucinich and core beliefs
I think some of the people who answered the VoteMatch quiz were kind of surprised to find Dennis at the top of their list.

I believe it was Michael Moore who suggested that the majority of Americans when questioned about their core beliefs are way more liberal than their MSM-crafted perception of themselves leads them to believe.

It's true that some candidates are considered "unelectable" before anyone even knows what they stand for. Reminds me of the buzz that preceded Joan Crawford's appearance in the classic Mildred Pierce. Word traveled fast around Hollywood that the actress had put in an Oscar-winning performance.

There was only one problem: The filming for the movie hadn't even started when conventional wisdom said she was a shoo-in for the Best Actress statuette.

When I hear people talk about who is "electable" or "unelectable," I think about that story a lot.

Granted, I do think that some of Kucinich's passion and candor are due to the fact that he is such an underdog. As candidates move higher up in the polls, they tend to become more risk averse.

But, please people, let's vote our core beliefs instead of for a candidate who has been officially anointed by the MSM. The shallowness of political discourse these days is alarming and very, very bad for our democracy.

3. There's a fourth
International relations. The world's moved on, and it isn't going to stop dead for Washington, least of all after March 2003. Kucinich is the only one urging a radical reappraisal of foreign policy in favor of inclusive multilateral cooperation on the issues that address our common needs & recognizes that others have legitimate concerns too.

The big stick's going to work less & less after the debacle of the past four years. It's time America took its place as a key member of a global community rather than taking refuge in its status as top dog among a dwindling core of like-minded military allies fearful of a less unequal world.

5. There are some things that cannot be changed.
Kucinich can be a fantastic leader on the left.
Movement Politics.

Just as Tom Delay did great things for the Gop in
their view--Movement Operative. Could Never become
President.

The same is true for Dennis. He is doing a good
service by particpating and getting heard in the
debates. Keeps our other candidates from going
over into Right Field.

GWB has shown in spades what happens to a country when
the President is a "true believer in his party's ideology.
Has driven a chasm so doep it will be years in respair.

The President of a Country needs to be the President
for all the people. We need to get the country out
of that ditch on the far right.
We have not seen Center in years.

The Country having just suffered through a Right Winger
is not going to swing the Pendulum to what is perceived
as a Left Winger.

It will be up to all of us to keep whoever is President
mindful of Democratic Principles--not some Center Right
Dream.

Keep up the good work Dennis Kucinich.

6. What about ilectability, though?

Kucinich would probably make a better president than any of the big three, but as a presidential candidate he'd be a disaster, I think.

7. That was my point when i said
DK would be a good movement politician. Organize and
work with Activists and people who are committed to
spreading Democratic Party Principles.

No matter how we feel about Tom DeLay, he is loved by
the RW, Even though out of office he is out there
cheering on the Right and working with the Base of
Republican Party to win the next election.

Dennis is perceived as too far left to be elected as
President ever. However, he does a good job of
keeping our other candidates from veering off in Right
Field. He could become quite effective leading a Movemnet
On the Left. Movement Politicians can sometimes be
more effective inthe long run than President.
