• The Democratic Party is holding a “Bye-Bye Bush Bash” starting at 6:15 p.m. today at the Riverside Ballroom, 1506 Main St., Green Bay. Elizabeth Edwards, wife of North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, is expected to be among those attending.

• The Republican Party of Brown County will host a salute to the troops and the commander in chief at 6 p.m. today at the Brown County Veterans Memorial.

• Elizabeth Edwards plans to visit St. Norbert College at 10 a.m. Friday. She will speak to education students at Boyle Hall, Room 101.
