S.C. native John Edwards got the hometown hero’s treatment .... but it was Biden that got the
standing ovation.

Edwards, the former U.S. senator from North Carolina, Delaware U.S. Sen. Biden and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson were the last three Democratic presidential candidates left in the state Saturday. All three took their turn at the podium before several thousand Democratic delegates at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

3. since I was @ the CDP convention in San Diego
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 05:31 PM by xxqqqzme
were any of the speeches there on C-SPAN?

Biden was not in California - Edwards, w/ half the crowd HRC & Obama had, blew the doors off the convention.

7. Old tactic, often employed
and always whined about by those who don't know how it works. I remember the volume of whining after the DNC speeches a few months back....same thing. You'd think eventually people would learn....

Hell this went on for our Attorney General nomination at convention last summer. Even those with the proverbial turnip leaves in their hair "got it".

9. I think it's a great tactic, are you kidding?
I'm suggesting that they all employ it.

6. I caught some of Biden, Richardson, then Edwards....
I thought Richardson did a laundry list of "what he would do in 5 days" harkening back to the debate question on Thurs. Frankly, the "format" got tiresome. He still doesn't look well to me.

I though Edwards did great.
