Just got home from the Boston gathering, and I would like to report that there was a good crowd in spite of the not-so-nice day. Cold wind off Boston Harbor, not much sun.
There were about 400-500 people we were told, and I was impressed by the great range of ages. Teens through old-timers like me. Buttons and T-shirts with "Impeach " selling well, worn by almost everyone. Good pre-Impeachment entertainment, a good group of speakers and a great mock trial.
Some of the pictures and one particular fathers tribute his fallen son would made me teary-eyed.
Everyone was encouraged to call their representative to call for support of HR 333, and to sign Impeach petitions. Almost everyone signed a 60 foot canvas "Constitution", expressing their sentiments. It was dignified and well run. Thanks to all who organized this event and to those who attended.
**** and his second in command were escorted to the head of the crowd where the articles of Impeachment were read in front of them.
Now if this could really happen, and soon, we might survive until 01/20/2009
