I was recently looking at some pictures of him from the '92 campaign and then his early days in office - very attractive! He's aged a lot since his heart surgery, though.

70. No...
I could swing both ways.:spray:

We have a group of hot DEM's at the moment-and DEMS are better in bed too. And we ALL know that DEM women know what constitutes a real orgasm. GOP women lie back and 'think of England' so to speak.

There are a few GOP too, but the ones I would be attracted to are too moderate to make the presidential cut.

Other things I have noticed...

DEM fund raisers are much more fun, esp. if they are Union.

DEM food tastes better.

With the exception of Reagan, DEM's have better newer jokes.

DEMs are equal at a fundraiser, GOP are class concious.

I took my child to DEM fund raisers because DEMs love kids. I never took her to a GOP fundraiser (mom radar would go off) because I discovered some GOP 'really' love kids.

...about why a Dem woman was divorcing her Repub husband.

She tells the lawyer "The marriage was never consumated. For four years, all he would do was sit on the bed and tell me how good it was going to be."

101. It is the duality and denial....
My wife is a lady and everyone else is a whore so it is ok.....

Real sex is between married husband and wife so screwing this (boy,gay/straight prostute, barn yard animal)doesn't count. We were only having (oral sex, anal sex, S&M,fetish) so it wasn't real sex. They just can't be honest about their feeling.

Never go near a GOP closet-no telling what you'll find.

I remember one DEM wag saying (during the Nixon Admin) that Republicans do to the country what they should be doing to their wives. It's twu, it's twu. :spray:

I went to a religious college when the Campus Crusade for Christ was at it's zenith. I have been to many GOP functions (trust me-my purse was closed tighter that a GOP gals legs on a first date). Trust me-it is a great place to network a business but a sorry place for a fun time.

In order to have good sex you have to be able to empathize-something I have seldom seen in the GOP. I rest my case.

Al Gore.

John Kerry - in a VERY weird way - mainly when he looks at Teresa - incredibly sexy! You can tell thre's something rawther hot between them. Same thing with Clinton and the way he can look at people (mainly female people). HUGELY sexy.

Then, of course, there's John Edwards, Wesley Clark (!!!!), and Barack Obama. His smile is simply GLORIOUS. All he has to do is smile and you can't see anything else. Nor would you even care to.

It's very odd but the republicans always seem to have ugly male candidates but attractive female candidates.

44. John Kerry is dead sexy.
Rock star:

Don't you just want to give him a hug?

How can you tell if a person is good at heart? Small animals and children instinctively trust them:

I like a man with beautiful eyes:

50. WEL, we have exactly the same criteria
and Kerry passes on all fronts. The "good heart" test almost never fails me. As other people have noted (KerryGoddess has a great running series on this), the contrast between childrens' reactions to Kerry (comfort and affection) and to W (tears and fright) are stark. Kids and animals are smart , apparently smarter than American voters in 2004.

100. There was a pic thread in the Kerry forum to that effect once
A bunch of pictures of JK totally connecting with little kids contrasted by pix of Bush awkwardly holding screaming, bawling babies. Kids can tell when someone is good at heart - and when someone has the chill touch of the soulless, apparently.

Yeah, too bad they didn't get to vote in 2004 x(

58. Damn!
That is one NICE picture of Clark...I'd never seen that one before, but he is gorgeous - love the eyes! :loveya: And of course Al isn't half bad, either. :)

Edwards & Obama are both definitely very attractive men. :loveya: Also, I've always thought Mark Warner was pretty nice-looking...of course, the fact that the one time I was in the same room with him was at Girls' State (a.k.a., Nazi Cheerleading Camp from Hell) could have had something to do with that. ;) (At that point, I think anything with a Y chromosome would've been attractive!) I also think Feingold is handsome...and I had never seen some of those lovely Kerry pictures before, but they convinced me! :) And I've always liked Howard Dean - he seems to have a magnetic personality, in addition to being easy on the eyes. What can I say? Democratic men in general seem to be pretty good-looking. ;)

And he's aged INCREDIBLY well. Still yummy after all these years. And Al. More yummy.

And the really significant thing about most of these everybody's sighing and swooning over here (Clark, Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Wilson, Newsom, and the other Dems) is that these men are as attractive and desirable and alluring INSIDE as they are outside. Beauty is WAY more than skin deep with these guys. That's why guys like Russ Feingold and Dennis Kucinich - and yes, Henry Waxman - deserve VERY HONORABLE mention here, too. May not be picture-perfect on the outside, but there is GREAT loveliness and admirability - and nobility - on the inside. That's probably why I can barely find ONE republi-CON toward whom I could gravitate. No matter what the exterior packaging, I know what's inside 'em, and I tend to find that rather ugly.

Dick Durbin isn't bad, either. Cute little round face he has.

One other I just thought of - in kind of a rumpled way (I just have a soft spot for rumpled) - NorCal Congressman George Miller. I just find him appealing. Thereya go.

And ronnyk - yes to Antonio also. I saw him up close (and shook his hand) at the state Dem convention in L.A. in 2005 when he was still a mayoral candidate, and he seemed to have a glow around him. Truly. That was the feeling I came away with after meeting him. Same thing for Howard Dean - got to shake his hand there, too. I was walking on air for days afterwards. (Right hand. People wondered if I was ever gonna wash my hands again. Didn't matter. Those things are way too powerful for mere soap to have any effect. They sink in.)

59. OK, here are my official bipartisan rankings:
Democrats: 1) Obama--total hottie, my current political crush
2) Clark--I loves me a man in uniform, nice eyes, silver fox
3) Edwards--sexy Southern accent

Repugs 1) Hagel--sad eyes, sexy voice, another silver fox
2) Thune--even with the Mr. Ed snark, he's still a classically handsome man
3) Romney--plastic and not sexy, but still handsome (in a clinical way)

116. I think I'm weird about "attractive"
To me there's handsome, and then there's sexy, and they're not always the same thing.

I've seen General Clark in person and he is one spectacular specimen! His skin and eyes are amazing, and he's slender and sleek and has gorgeous bone structure. I could look at and admire him for days, but I wouldn't necessarily say he's sexy to me.

This is why I'm weird - I find Richard Clarke sexy, although he isn't handsome. He strikes me as a man restraining a lot of energy, as if in the right circumstances he could be powerfully... well, I'd better stop.

So I guess it depends on which "attractive" you mean! :)

And I still am lit up over Kerry.

Just one question, what the hell am I going to do if Hillary is the front runner??

And the too much sex thing? I'd give him bonus points.
Yes. Clooney is a very fine Dem, indeed.

158. Bonus points is a good idea!
I thought maybe he said it because he really does plan to run and he wanted to preempt the charge ~ that would be pretty clever.

144. LOL! Why do you hate to admit Hagel? 'Cause he's an older guy
or because he's a Republican? He's my Senator, and I have to admit he's kinda hot.

I know he's a journalist, but a political journalist (he would eschew both labels) and oh my, he definitely turns my crank.

I'm always attracted to open, forthright, clear and honest presentation.

I am not impressed by height, haircuts, by false charm, or by paternalistic attitudes.

Edited to add:

I am obviously not the only woman who looks at men with that perspective.

167. I always thought Al was handsome
The repukes had this thing going around "Why Men are Republicans" purporting to claim that conservative women were more attractive than liberals - they were so stupid that they doctored the liberal women's photos to make them look uglier than they were, undermining their premise. I countered with "why women are democrats" comparing JFK, Gore, Clinton to the likes of Newt Gringich and Pappy Bush and Nixon.
