Who impressed you the most in the debate tonight?
I"m not necessarily talking about who sounded the most presidential, but whose words did you enjoy hearing the most?

Kucinich far and away was my favorite tonight. I also was impressed with Gravel's candor and passion.

3. Kucinich...
His answers were succinct, his demeanor was very professional. Edwards also did a great job. The rest were OK, excepting Gravel, who really needs to rethink his candidacy.

4. Dennis......he's just got the stuff.......
he's just got the talk, and the Department of Peace from the last go around, really convinced me that Dennis would be the best president. D*mn I wish he wasn't so short. D*mn, D*mn, D*mn, and I know that doesn't mean a thing.......but it does. He'll never be president.

19. If he was a Repug or lived in an earlier time...they would have "lifts in his shoes"
..stand him on a box and show him as a GIANT AMONG CANDIDATES.

After all ...Roosevelt's disability was hidden from the voters...but, then...he was wealthy and distinguished amongst the same crowd the Bushies belong to.

Kucinich could stand proud and tall if we had a decent media ....he might get a chance.

I pointed that out in the main thread on the debate. Democrats need to frame their rhetoric about patriotism more like he just did.

14. Hillary looked OLD
Which apparently you are not allowed to say on DU. Does DU know ALREADY that she is our nominee? My husband said aren't you allowed to critize the candidates that aren't our nominee yet?

I saw numerous shit leveled about Kerry's looks for years. But apparently Hillary is the golden fucking warmongering goose who will be sure to let the fascist criminals off the hook. And it's sexist to talk about how she looks! THE HORROR.

21. I actually thought she looked better than usual
though I don't think looks should matter. And I do think appearance is a tougher issue for her because she's a woman, but she's well aware of it and jokes about it all the time.

People are getting on Richardson for not being the most eloquent and whatnot - he isn't. But he came across likeable, and the most non-BS candidate out there.

38. In my view, Obama panders to the religious right with his frequent little jibes
at those who are not religious. It makes me think he has a need to feel he belongs. Is this some kind of compensation for something? Is his show of religiosity a way of trying to make himself a part of a majority at the expense of those who are not religious or not in his religion? This makes me suspicious of him.
