Perino seizes on Virginia Tech tragedy to grandstand on 2nd Amendment
In the wake of today's horrific shooting at Virginia Tech, the Bush administration wasted no time letting us know what is truly important in this country:

Dana Perino, a White House spokeswoman, said President Bush was horrified by the rampage and offered his prayers to the victims and the people of Virginia.

“The president believes that there is a right for people to bear arms, but that all laws must be followed,” Perino said.

Those ever-sensitive right-wingers object if a joke uses the word "Tuesday" (which belongs to 9/11), but it's never too soon to resume pledging allegiance to the NRA.

1. "The President offered his prayers to the victims...and his assurances to the NRA, as well."

3. Isn't it?? He has no conscience whatsoever.
Just a shill without any humanity. The NRA must be expected an assault after this.

9. The MSM and the White House will cover this story over Gonzales tomorrow
First of all, let me reiterate my apologies to anyone who was offended was offended by a post (which I requested get deleted and was) I made that regarded this horrific event would take precedence over the Gonzales hearing tomorrow by the mainstream media. People thought I was looking at this event lightly somehow. I wasn't. It is an incredibly sad event beyond words.

But back to the White House statement, it is obvious to me that they would rather have a 2nd Amendment right-to-bear-arms "discussion" now made in order to distract from the continuing corruption that they instill so well.

A sad day in so many ways today....

13. They will indeed.
But Gonzales will be on CSAN tomorrow, and whatever he lets slip to incriminate bush and cheney will be recorded, and Dems in Congress will not let it go. So we are covered as well.

14. Perino was the replacement for Tony Snow because he wasn't failing badly protecting Bush
Dana is an extremely bright young lady and can handle anything that's thrown at her, (got to give credit due)

17. Its important to support the 2nd Amend now the same way we support ...

...the due process principles of the 5th and 14th amendments even when it leads to criminals escaping justice --sometimes to commit even worse crimes.

Its horrible when bad guys exploit the freedoms of the Bill of Rights to commit crimes.
