Anybody see "Journeys With George" last night on MSNBC?
The documentary about bush's 2000 campaign by Alexandra Pelosi, (yes, the speaker's daughter) was outstanding. In a way it was like seeing an accident, it's gruesome but you can't stop watching. It shows bush being a total ass. There are way too many great scenes to relate here, but I recommend it to all DUers.

2. I was going to TIVO it but I just don't think i could sit through ...
2 hours of watching Bush. It's hard enough to watch him for only a minute or 2 on the news.

3. They showed it on HBO in 2000
Of course either right before or right after the "election" so it could have the least impact. I think it reveals the true Bush. God help us all.

4. I saw it a few years ago...
I think it was during the 2004 campaign. It was run on CBC Newsworld in Canada. It really gives you a good look at what makes this guy tick. That is to say, nothing. He is motivated by the basest of emotions, greed, envy, malice...that kind of thing. Watching Rove in action too was a treat. As Bush's fortunes slowly start to rise during the campaign, it was something to watch Rove react with all the glee of a socially isolated 10 year old who'd just amused himself by pulling the wings off a fly. Watching Bush schmooze the reporters too, especially the scene where he brings them food on the bus. And then to watch how once he's announced as the winner in Florida, how he drops Alexandra and all of them like a bad habit. Literally just spins and turns away. See ya.

Chilling, insightful and a must see. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

(...or should I say down?)

:dilemma:

5. Just the commercial made me nauseous. I think I'll avoid wasting my time when there are so many
great M.A.S.H. reruns to get caught up on...

6. i saw an interview with her shortly after selection 2000....
...and she said she left the most damning footage of the chimp on the cutting room floor. she didn't like chimpy but she didn't want her film to try to sway the election.

unfortunately, her courtesy got us 8 years of puppetboy.

9. As usual, those in the media bend over backwards to accomodate Rove's preferred storyline.
Even many in the left media worry more about how THEY appear to the corporate media than what is good for the country.
