We have entered uncharted "Give Me A Fucking Break" territory
This administration is so far over the top, out to lunch, asleep at the switch, and whatever other cliche you want to apply, that it is truly uncharted. We have never, ever, had so many scandals, so much evidence of crimes in high places, so many outright criminals, all thumbing their noses at the country.

We have in excess of 150 American Madrassa trained sleeper cell operatives in very high government positions. How many others are there in the ranks of the civil service (that Rove politicized) who are also sleeper cell members, just waiting for the Democrats to take power so they can carry out their assigned roles.

Great Leader now seems bored with playing GI Joe and wants to hire somebody to play the role for him.

Great Leader says the Democrats will cause the troops to serve longer, but before the budget battle even reaches full song, he's extended them by three months.

Insult (in the medical sense) after insult after insult to the body public.

And right there in the middle of it all is Bush's Brain, The Architect, Karl Rove.

That he continues to live life without the burden of indictment is truly in the realm of Give Me A Fucking Break.

2. Great Leader just wants a 'front man'. You know, like he fronts
for the neocons.

Global Warming
STOSSEL: "It's a hatred of capitalism. A hatred of industrial production. Yes, it's true, we produce more carbon dioxide. But we are also the cleanest country in the world. As we get wealthier, the air gets cleaner. We can afford to do the things that maybe someday if the globe is warming we have to make adjustments. It's our wealth that will allow us to save the world. If we let these socialists control our lives, we'll all be worse off."

5. Right off the edge of the Flat Earth
Today's ridiculous statement that Rove "didn't mean to delete" all that incriminating evidence against him just took the cake. I've seen more devious 4-year-olds when they're caught red-handed.

20. As Jon Stewart said:
"As the parent of a two-and-a-half-year-old, I routinely hear more convincing explanations for how feces got in my DVD player." (Of course, he was talking about Alberto Gonzales, but I think the same basic logic applies here, don't you? ;))

But every word you said is true.

Glad to send this to the GP

I remember Madras being a fabric my mother used to sew things in the sixties --but what is Madrassa?

Edited on Fri Apr-13-07 05:48 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
Most of them are harmless, but some of the more fanatical ones (financed by our "friends" the Saudis) teach hatred of the West.

The OP is comparing the fundie-trained administration figures and low-ranking aides and such to operatives trained in a Wahhabi madrassa.

13. If the OP poster ascribes to the doppelganger principles, I can understand
That.

How was George Bush the First different than Saddam Hussein?

Or George The Lesser different than Osama bin Laden?

Or the military might that bombs refugee camps different than the suicide bomber?

There are differences to be sure, but the similarities rule (Much as when two separate people break your heart)

19. Fundy home-schooling is designed to create "Christian soldiers ready to rise up"
I kid you not. Do some Googling for "Christian Reconstructionists" and follow the trail -- it's beyond shocking in its un-American goals.

It starts with the denigration of public school, goes on to religiously based home-school textbooks to teach that the US was founded as an explicitly "Christian nation" now taken over by godless humanists, which then sets the stage for attendance at colleges like Regent and then entrance into public life in order to "bring America back" to "Biblical law"...ad nauseum.

The phrase about creating an army of Christian soldiers ready to rise up at the signal is really in their own websites. And look what we have now.

Hekate

14. Bush could literally sit and play with his wee wee on live t.v. at this point.
We are a country run by a bunch of snot-nosed fourth graders.

And I can't say it enough. That's what you get when a country decides to stick it to the liberals and elect the guy whose resume shows failure after failure yet he's deemed as most qualified because he sounds like a hoot to have a beer with.

Give me a fucking break pretty much describes it. Well said.

White House, to call vengeance down on Dubya for Dubya's behaving worse than Harding.

Scandal presidents are a jealous lot.

16. True--it's surreal. It's like a bad dream of being in a bank holdup, and the
police are nowhere to be found, and you try to stop the criminals but your legs are stuck in quicksand, and nobody is saying anything--everyone is acting normal. How will history judge us in 20 years?

17. Does anyone think these people are just going to walk away come
November 2008 or January 2009? After all they've done to take over so completely reguardless of any laws or ethics? I have a REAL hard time thinking these fools aren't going to do something/anything to keep control. They have too much to lose.
