Questions: When I Saw A Graphic On The Green Zone Yesterday.....

after the bombing incident - it occured to me that where the 'green zone' is located is where when this war started - the 'shock & awe" bombing happened. Am I correct in this? And why did they pick this part of town for the 'green zone'.

Also - when one of the newschannels was giving an eyewitness account of the parliment bombing incident yesterday - they had the 'green zone' as the backdrop. I noticed large cranes in the background - as if some big construction project was under way.

Is this the location of the 'new U.S. Embassy'?

2. Intentionally chosen before invasion?

It may have intentionally been leveled/demolished to make way for our eventual occupation and construction of our "haven" within Iraq? :shrug: I honestly never noticed this but if this is true, it is certainly disconcerting (just like everything else has been with this entire endeavor). I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this was intended.

4. So .....

the green zone - now called the International Zone - is where when this war/occupation started - the major target for the 'shock & awe' bombing that we all watched on TV.

It is now where the new U.S. Embassy - the biggest and most secure building in the world (I'm told) - is being built.

Almost like when the plans were drawn up for this 'occupation' was targeted for demolition to make way for the Embassy.

I wonder if we go back to the Cheney 'energy' meeting that he has guarded and protected from being seen by our eyes - if this wasn't part of the plan. As I recall - they supposedly did have some maps of the oil fields at that meeting - where - they were divying up for the oil companies.

Was this all laid out - well enough in advance of 9/11? Was this the plan all along? Is this why * is so adamant about 'staying the course'? Is this what our soldiers are fighting and dying for?

Are the dots finally being connected?

5. Wouldn't be surprised

I wouldn't put ANYTHING past this bunch of criminals. Now I can see why Cheney et. al fought so hard to keep the energy task force activity under wraps. Perhaps one day we will finally be able to know for sure, although I never fully understood why the RW was able to successfully fight for and gain access to Hillary's health care task force records (was there something particularly scandalous about THAT task force?) but we could not get access to the energy task force records. National Security? Yeah, I bet that's it.:eyes:

3. The 'Green Zone' was already there when the war started. It contained the palaces of

Saddam and other high officials. By the way, the official name is now the International Zone. And yes, the US Embassy is being built there.
