8. It won't help ...

This is about as effective as fundamentalists boycotting "The Last Temptation of Christ". Imus is laughing his ass off at Sharpton.

2. FYI: He said picket - not boycott. Picketing will be even more
effective, IMHO.

5. Imus is the most despicable person on MSRNC
Him and that lunatic bunch on there with him. They have no room to talk about anyone else's looks. They are all a bunch of ugly morons......from the inside out. I wish they would get rid of him and his racist "ratpack".There is no way those idiots should be allowed to talk on the air the way they do. I never did have the stomach to watch them after seeing them a couple of times. That was enough for me.Why do they hate everyone else so much?

Is it because they have such hatred for themselves it spills out all over everyone else?I can't understand why people watch this crap.Imus sits there chewing gum, takes it out of his mouth, rolls it around in his fingers, lays it down, and then a few minutes later picks it up and puts it back in his mouth!I've seen him eat donuts or whatever and talk with his mouth full...it's like he has NO CLUE the cameras are focused right on him....or he just doesn't give a crap.

What makes him think he is so much better than everyone else? Gawd.......GET RID OF HIM NOW!! :puke:

7. Don't kid yourselves. The producers have already prepared for this
possibility of retribution.

They're probably already booked for next week Joe Lieberman (Imus' bud), John McCain, and/or Rudy Giuliani, who will proceed to gleefully recount his experiences with Sharpton from his mayor days and talk about how he thinks Sharpton is a third-class opportunist (his opinion, not mine). The best defense is a good offense.

Stay tuned or wait to read about it in future posts.

9. Must Just Be Me Then
I am not bothered by Imus.
I am more bothered by the likes of the Reverend.
Imus is what he is, a redneck, but not a particularly offensive one IMO. Its pretenders that annoy me to no end. Sharpton should get off of his cloud. People know him for what he is.

10. This whole affair bothers me
He apologized. People can either accept it or not and move on. The idea he needs to be "fired" is wrong headed imo and is the part that disturbs me. This reminds me of Bill Mahr all over again. We are becoming so politically correct in this country that even people who are paid to say crazy things like Imus have to "removed" Imus is not a journalist or even a pundit. He is a radio "personality" and thats it. Its part satire, comedy, reporting but not in any traditinal sense of the word. If Dan Rather or Peter Jennings said this would I expect them to have been fired from the anchor desk? Of course! But again, this takes things too far.

This is why Mahr is on HBO or Stern moved to Sat radio. Soon I guess we will have to pay to hear or watch anything controversial in this country.
