Woman and Black People can not be elected president.....
80 years ago these were accepted by most of the American Population. In fact they were so ingrained it was considered a truth. Here we are today with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama two of the most popular candidates nationwide.

Today we are still faced with the same naysayers. People will say that it is reality and it cannot possibly be otherwise. What is not recognized is that Dennis is that voice that seeks to be recognized. That force that fights for the true ideal of the democratic party and the American Dream.

It is impractical to merely accept the vice of regularity.

Seek ye not the treasures of this earth instead store your treasure in heaven.

1. Thank you Pile-on Pete!
But in seriousness, political history is all about past success. Or even past perceived success--note how many Kennedy/Goldwater impersonators we have in our respective parties as far as speaking style. Once it is done, it will be claimed that a watershed moment has occurred that actually reached critical mass long ago.

2. you know, of course,
that Lincoln was not considered a real contender for the Republican nomination in 1860-he was not that well known and people like William Seward and Salmon B. Chase had far more impressive credentials. Yet he captured the nomination and then the presidency, and is considered by many to be the finest president we ever had. Dennis Kucinich, in my mind, has a chance to change the whole country around. The last thing we need to do is to say that the only ones who have a chance are those beholden to the same rich fat cats who try and control Washington now.

And the last shall be first

3. The meek shall inherit the presidency seems unlikely in this media age
With his voice and face, I doubt Lincoln would have held up these days.

4. you're right
sadly, now only appearance seems to be the critera for voting for anyone. Glad it wasn't the case in 1860. Of course, we can hope that people will wise up--there is always that chance.

5. Remember this quote...

Remember this quote when Thompson sweeps the nomination for the wingnut pugs...
