I couldn't believe how weak he was, everytime he opened his mouth he was abruptly put in his place. When he mentioned the Edwards dropping out, Bill Mahar shut him up quick with "Cheney's been dying for the last 15 years, nobody told him to drop out!" (not the exact words but you get the idea). There was a comedian sitting next to him who had a comeback for everything Smerconish (sp?) said. He looked pretty lost, thats what happpens if wingnuts aren't on their own turf with their idiot followers listening.

with my mother, I know that Stage 4 means that with agressive treatment, Elizabeth has a 20% chance of surviving 5 years. TWENTY PERCENT! I understand that she wants him to continue to run, and I would never tell someone what to do, but once she starts treatment, I doubt she'll be able to travel with him. If that's the case, I wonder if he will continue his campaign.

Lots of people in this country, even in this party, are NOT ready to vote for a woman or a black candidate for President. That leaves them Edwards right now, because he has enough $.

Sure this Smerconish & lots of other Repukes would LOVE to see John drop out of the race. The Edwards have already be likened to JFK's family. That's scary for them to contemplate. I expect the Edward's will be maligned extensively for the duration of the run.

Just because they have younger children doesn't mean they must live the American cookie-cutter lifestyle. I know of families who live on boats & travel the world. What's the difference? Both situations offer the kids a wonderful opportunity have experiences few could hope for in a lifetime.

This is not the '50's. Life is broader now. We should all be so lucky.
